For daring to act as a military dictator, an action described as ‘unacceptable and totalitarian’ by the Peoples Democratic Party, #President-elect Muhammadu #Buhari has been slammed by the Nigerian media, and Nigerians at large.
With approximately four weeks to his swearing in, Nigerians are already casting doubts on the supposedly self-proclaimed ‘democrat convert’ truly and conscientiously ruling the country as a civilian.
Though, the All Progressives Congress have come to bail out the president-elect by insisting that every accredited media organization has the legal right to cover the his activities, Nigerians are now more than sceptical about the supposedly ‘change manifesto’ the party had promised Nigerians to deliver.
“This smacks of intolerance, it’s wrong and not expected of a good leader! What criteria were adopted in arriving at AIT & NTA? Because AIT ran advertorials? If he felt offended he should go to court please. GMB is no more a private citizen, he’s now a father to all & so should never discriminate against any organization or individual. Before now, how many ambassadors paid him courtesy visits? His handlers should watch it & should not mislead him”, write Okoli.
“We should stop supporting wrong ideas, most people are saying he is right but have forgotten that this is #Nigeria. Sahara Reporters has done more to GEJ, but he ignored them which is a sign of a leader. No mater what AIT has done he should ignore them as a good leader. Buhari should not forget that Nigerians are there to castigate their leaders. I want Buhari to be a good leader not a dictator” -Shege.
For Raymond: “The media report lies, the media twists truths. The media misleads; however, the media must be allowed freedom to express whatever. #UnbarAIT”
Ibikunle agrees with the opinion above saying, “this is wrong I do not expect this to happen in present day Nigeria.”
For Nuhu, “Muhammadu Buhari is very right after all he has not been sworn in officially. He’s still a president in waiting. May be as from
29th/May he may have a change of mind.” But, Idzi blatantly refused, “Nonsense, did Sahara Reporters ever say anything good about oga Jonathan? Yet he ignored their foolishness; that is Wrong, wrong & wrong i repeat.”
