Akwa Ibom Election Fraud Exposed By INEC Card Readers

The massive doctoring of election results during the April 11 governorship election in Akwa Ibom has been apparently exposed by the examination of used in that polling exercise.

The card readers, which were used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (), show that only 437,128 voters were accredited during the April 11th election.

However, the same electoral commissioner fraudulently awarded the “winner” of the election, of the People’s Democratic Party (), 996,071.

In similar vein, INEC arbitrarily allocated 89,865 votes to , the governorship candidate of the ().

A source at INEC told SaharaReporters that the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the simply colluded with Governor Goodwill Akpabio and the PDP machinery in Akwa Ibom State to massively rig the polls.

The source said the reality on the ground at the election could not justify the huge number of votes allocated the to the PDP candidate in the governorship election.

The card reader data, exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters, show that Orue-Offong Oruko local government area, the lone LGA won by the APC candidate, is the only area where the number of accredited voters as recorded by card readers almost tally with the number of votes declared by INEC.

Several cases disputing the outcome of the April 11 election have been filed before the elections petition in Akwa Ibom.
