Elections have ended in all the local governments of the district; elections were generally peaceful, but voters who turned out for the exercise were very low.
Apart from the cases we reported earlier of violence and thumbprinting of ballot papers, elections were generally successful.
[18:40] Uvwie Local Government
In Unit 9, 10 of Ward 9 and Unit 8, Ward 10 all in Ekpan community, the atmosphere was very calm.
In Effurun Ward 1, Unit 10, the same was the case.
Electoral officers complained of poor voters’ turnout, but added that there was no violence, as electorates who came out conducted themselves in orderly manners.

Elections were general peaceful, though INEC adhoc staffs equally complained of low voters turn out.
[18:15] Okpe Local Government
Elections were very peaceful and voters turned out in large numbers to cast their votes. There were no cases of electoral violence, ballot box snatching, and rigging.
The early results from this local puts the #PDP ahead; the PDP is equally been projected to achieve a landslide victory here.
[16:05] Udu Local Government
Elections at Technical High School Units 12 and 10, witnessed low turnout of voters.
Residents were seen going about their normal businesses, with little regard for the entire exercise.

Elections have ended, collation of results ongoing.

Our first report from this LGA is not a pleasant one. PDP members reportedly convincing voters and offering them the sum of N500 to cast their votes for the party.
This happened at Ward 6, Ofuoma Community, in Ughelli north.

PDP thugs, led by Alex Imarah, massively thumbprinting ballot papers at PU 12, Ward 8, Igun, Ethiope East LG

A PDP chieftain, and candidate of the party for Ethiope East Constituency, Bar. Arthur Akpovwowo is currently massively thumprinting for the PDP at PU 3 and 11, Ward 9, Eku.

Disturbing reports coming from both Ward one.
PDP thugs are using armed policemen to compel electorates to vote for them in Unit 1, Ward 1, Abraka. Staying in the same Ward, PDP thugs have also carted away with election materials in Unit 9.

Not a good news coming from Eku Ward 9. The Peoples Democratic Party is refusing to allow other party members to cast their votes in Units 3 and 16.
Elsewhere, elections have been quietly peaceful.

Accreditation ongoing at Ward 6, Kokori. However, voters who turned out for the exercise have been reportedly low.

Electorates who turned out to vote in Ward 1 Abraka have been low.
Therefore, they are made to vote after accreditation.
