English Premier League Prediction for Sunday May 13, 2018

As the season gradually comes to a conclusion, we welcome you specially to this dedicated page for Fixed Football Betting predictions on the matches that are played in the English Premier League.

Here are the predictions for the last round of matches of the 2017/2018 English Premier League season.

1. Swansea vs Stoke City
————————-
After succumbing to a 1-0 defeat to fellow relegation threatened side Southampton on Tuesday night, Swansea is now favourite to be relegated this weekend.

The odds of beating the drop is now stacked against the Welsh team because a victory here may not necessarily imply that they have avoided relegation.

Swansea is certainly going to win this match against relegated side Stoke city, but would it be enough to keep them up?

In order for Swansea to stay in the premier League, Southampton may have to lose by 5-0 to Manchester City.

Verdict: Swansea to win
:
2. Manchester United vs Watford
————————–
Manchester United suffered a shock defeat in hands on Brighton last weekend – a match that ensured Brighton will be playing Premier League football next 2018/2019 season.

But, as they prepare for the FA Cup final next weekend against Chelsea, this game will go a long way towards displaying how well prepared Jose Mourinho side are for that match.

With nothing really to play for, Watford may not really turn up for this match. And this mental attitude may just be the platform that propels Man United to seal Second spot in style.

Verdict: Home win.
Tip: (3-0)

3. Westham vs Everton
———————-
Westham is safe and will not be relegated this season, but their season has not been a bed of roses. After smashing two un-replied goals past Leicester last week, the club is fired up for its last home match against Everton.

Everton’s preparation for this game has been marred with the news of Home favourite, Wayne Rooney, considering Offers from the Major League Soccer in the United States of America.

Verdict: Home Win
Tip: (2-0)
:
4. Crystal Palace vs Westbrom
——————————
Crystal Palace inevitably sent Stoke City down last week after a 2-1 victory at the Best365 stadium. That victory was the club’s second consecutive victory after playing a goalless draw with Watford three week ago.

While the home side will be playing football in the EPL next season, their opponent was relegated on Tuesday night after Southampton marginally defeated Swansea City.

Crystal Palace is favourite to win this match, but do not forget the fact that Westbrom has not lost a match since their caretaker manager took charge six weeks ago.

Verdict: Westbrom (Handicap +2)
:
5. Southampton vs Manchester City
———————————
This is a match between relegation threatened Southampton and the 2017/2018 Premier League Champions Manchester City.

In their last three matches, Southampton thrashed Bournemouth 2-1, recorded a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Everton, and picked up a well needed three points away at Swansea.

Southampton needs a point or three points here to be sure of avoiding relegation and I am backing them to get it.

Verdict: Southampton (Handicap +1)
Tip: (1-0)
:
6. Newcastle vs Chelsea
————————
After managing to play out a disappointing 1-1 draw with Huddersfield on Wednesday from their final home game of the season, Chelsea needs to win this match and hope Brighton pulls off an unexpected victory at Anfield.

Chelsea is going to slug it out for the final Automatic Champions League spot, but they are no in control of their destiny.

Chelsea has not won away at St. James Park for quite some time, but with European qualification up for grabs, the Blues have the added incentive to go on and win this match.

Newcastle has nothing to play for after surviving relegation this season. Their narrow 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Wednesday may have slightly affected them going into this match.

Verdict: Away Win
:
7. Tottenham vs Leicester City
——————————
This may be the surprise package of the final round of matches for this season. After thrashing Arsenal – a North London club – on Wednesday, I expect the 2015/2016 Premier League Champions to go on and cause an upset at Wembley.

Just as Newcastle may likely be thrashed by two London clubs (Tottenham and Chelsea) in the space of four days, I expect Leicester to return the favour by demolishing two London clubs (Arsenal and Tottenham).

Verdict: Leicester (Handicap +2)
:
8. Huddersfield vs Arsenal
————————–
It is no longer a story, but reality that the Gunners have not won away from home in 2018, and that narrative looks set to continue this Sunday.

I do not expect Arsenal to win here, but they may likely not lose either. This is Arse Wenger’s last match for the Gunners and the match is highly likely to be more of a charity-organized games.

Do not forget that Huddersfield goes into this match with confidence after managing to pick up points from both Manchester City and Chelsea away from home.

Verdict: Huddersfield (Handicap +1)
Tip: (0-0) or (2-2).

Here are the predictions of matches that will be played this weekend of May 5th and 6th, 2018.

1. Arsenal vs Burnley
——————
This is a tough match between two sides who are fighting to qualify for Europa League Competition next season. This is the match between 6th and 7th in the league, and the end result may eventually decide who qualifies.

Only three points separate this two sides. A victory for Arsenal will open up a six-point gap, but a victory for Burnley will enable the club to go level on the same points with the host.

Arsenal has been very solid at home this season after winning 14 out of the 18 matches played at the Emirates stadium this season. The two defeat they picked this season was at the hands of Manchester City and Manchester United.

Burnley have won seven matches on the road, drawn seven, and lost four. The stats only go to show how resilient they have been this season away from home.

Verdict: this match will definitely be a close encounter, but the onus is on Arsene Wenger’s side to perform. I am going to back Arsenal to narrowly win here with both sides on the score sheet.

Projected correct score: 2-1.

2. Stoke City vs Crystal Palace
———————————————
Stoke picked up a crucial away point last week after shutting out the lethal strike force of Liverpool. This point may yet prove to be key towards their survival this season.

Languishing at 19th position with 30 points from 36 games played, they have to do everything within their powers to win and move up to 33 points.

But, this match will be very difficult for the home team because the away team put five past Leicester City last weekend to ensure that they move up to 11th position with 38 points.

The good news for Stoke City this week is that Crystal Palace have managed to pick up only three wins on the road this season. They have lost an incredible 9 games and drawn 6 matches.

Verdict: This match will be tough, but Stoke goes into this with tremendous confidence and I will be backing them to win here.

Prediction = Home Win and over 2.5
:
3. Westbrom vs Tottenham
—————————
May be it came too late, but Westbrom have been resilient from the moment they sacked their manager three weeks ago.

Beginning with their game against Swansea, they have won two away from home and drawn two at home.

Their most famous victory till date was the one-nil stunner against Manchester United at Old Trafford few weeks ago. Last weekend victory against Newcastle was another upset too.

Tottenham is still not certain of a Top Four finish, so will be taking this match very serious. They need to win this match in order to leapfrog into third position and go two points clear of Liverpool.

Verdict: when both sides met earlier this season at Wembley, they played a 1-1 draw. I am expecting this match to be another cagey affair too.

Prediction = Westbrom Win (Handicap +2)

Football Predictions for Week 40, 2018
——————————-
1. Tottenham vs Manchester City.
Manchester City bad run continued on Tuesday night after a third straight defeat as they try to wrap up the Premier League title for a second time against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

However, everything seems to be going ugly and wrong at the moment for the champions-elect of England, and there poor run of form is set to continue this weekend.

Manchester City still have not recorded a victory following their thumping in the hands of Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League and the humiliating defeat suffered in the hands of their neighbours last weekend.

Tottenham will be fresh for this match since they had no European engagement, unlike their opponent who played Liverpool in the Champions league on Tuesday.

Tottenham lost the reverse fixture last year by a score line of 4-1. But, nobody expects them to lose again this time due to the fact that they will be raring to take their pound of flesh on their visitors.

Thus, Tottenham could compound their misery again this coming weekend and pile more pressure on the league leaders.

Hypothetically, Manchester City lead at the top of the table could be reduced to 10 points, with five matches still to play. Fellow neighbours, Manchester United, are expected to record to sounding victory over relegation candidate – Westbrom.

So far, it is not looking good for Man City and it is not surprising that the bookies have made Spurs favourite for this match.

History always repeat itself when it comes to football and this is the singular reason why I will be backing Tottenham to win against Man City.

Let us take a look at what happened during the first meeting.

First Leg:
Manchester United vs Manchester City (1-2)

Manchester City vs Tottenham (4-1).

Return Leg:
Manchester City vs Manchester United (2-3)

Tottenham vs Manchester City (3-1).

The analogy above is very simple: the key factor behind my prediction rests solely on what happened at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening. As long as Manchester city lost that match again their neighbours, I expect them to lose again to Tottenham this weekend.

Verdict = Home Win and 2.5
Correct score = 3-1.

2. Manchester United vs Westbrom

Manchester United will cement its grip on second spot this weekend when it takes on Soon to be confirmed relegated side – Westbrom. By winning this match, Man United would have reduced Man City’s lead at the top to 10 points, could a miracle happen?

The away side will simply be trying to limit the scoreline of this game because they are most certain to lose heavily this weekend. While the morale is high in the camp of the host team, following their second half winning display at the Etihad stadium last week, the visitors know that they are doomed.

Verdict: Home win and under 4.4

Projected score = (3-0).

3. Burnley vs Leicester.

Burnley has picked form just when it mattered most. Now, check this amazing stat: in the last five matches, the club has won 4 and drawn one. It is no coincidence that they are almost certain to play in the Europa League next season.

Burnley is ranked 7th in the league with 49 points from 32 matches and a goal difference of +3. On Saturday, Burnley hosts Leicester who is 6 points behind and in 8th position. The stats for Leicester show that the club has won 2, drawn 2, and lost one of the last five matches.

Verdict: Nothing much separates these two teams and the likely outcome here will be a draw. I fancy this game to be a draw and under 4.5 for a safe bet.

If you love risk, then play this match as “Draw and under 2.5”

Projected score = (1-1)
:
4. Huddersfield vs Watford
:
This match is between 16th and 12th placed teams in the premier league. The host is currently flirting with relegation having failed to win a single game in their last five matches.

If the host must survive this season in the league, they have no option than to win their remaining home matches. And there is no better to play against Watford who have also had its issues. Watford has lost three of the last five matches.

Verdict: Huddersfield needs the 3 points here and I am backing them to get the job done.

Tip = Home win and over 1.5
