The #Delta Central Senatorial Rerun elections that the Independent National Electoral Commission conducted on Saturday April 25, 2015, was marred by #multiple #thumb printing, the All Progressives Party and Labour Party have alleged.
According to the agents of both #APC and #LP, elections were marred by voters inducement and the use of the armed forces in the intimidation of voters. These, they alleged, led to several of their supporters being disenfranchised.
There were also reported cases of the #PDP paying a minimum of N500 to compromise voters in casting their ballots for the candidate of the party.
Specifically, they alleged that voters were induced with between the sum of N500 to N1000 in the following wards:
Wards 1, 4, 8, 9, in Ethiope East LGA, Ward 6 in Ughelli North LGA. Voters were also compromised at Udu LGA as well.
In Abraka ward 2, unit 7 by Ebenezer Baptist Church, the exercise was peaceful though there were allegations of electoral malpractices, reports The Nation.
The candidate of the PDP, as at the time of filing this report, has taken a massive early lead in the race to represent the constituency in the National Assembly.
