PDP Candidate, Amori, Wins Delta Central Senatorial Poll

The Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Ighoyota , has been declared winner of the Senatorial District which held on April 25, 2015.

Amori polled a total of 116,723 votes to coast home to victory ahead of his closest challenger Ovie of Labour Party who could only record 76,635 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has now officially confirmed the above result.

Here is the breakdown of votes recorded by both contestants in each of the eight local government council areas of the district:

Meanwhile, Ovie Omo-Agege has rejected the result from the district and has vowed to reclaim his stolen mandate.

According to him, elections in the district were marred by several irregularities.
