The Labour Party (LP) Presidential flag bearer in the 2023 election, Mr Peter Obi has left Nigeria for a 3-day visit to Egypt to study among others, the Egyptian Power Sector, Education, Planning and Finance Sectors.

Disclosing this information on his personal Twitter Handle, Peter Obi said:

“I just departed for Egypt on a 3-day visit as part of my detailed study of comparable countries to Nigeria. In Egypt, I am expected to understudy, among others, the Egyptian Power Sector, Education, Planning and Finance Sectors. -PO”

But, the critical question on everyone’s mind is why go on a 3-day visit to Egypt? Why not Europe or America? The answers to these questions are answered below.

Are you aware that Egypt is currently the best country in Africa to invest in?

According to the Campaign Director General of Labour Party, Doyin Okupe, “Peter Obi’s trip has been scheduled previously, even before primaries.”

“His mission is to see the plants installed by Siemens, which doubled the generating capacity of Egypt in 4yrs. To hold talks directly with d coy on what will be feasible for nigeria and what cost?”

When asked why Peter Obi was in Egypt instead of going to a campaign rally ahead of the Gubernatorial Election in Ekiti State, Doyin Okupe responded:

“Going to Egypt to seek a permanent solution to our crippling energy crisis is a more rewarding move than going to a rally in ekiti, in an election where we are obviously ill prepared for and where we will compete against well entrenched & incumbent establishment parties.”
